Mindfulness is great, but…
it doesn't contain the whole teaching.
It's hard to change the mind and our experience with the mind.
Feeling and emotions are more subtle than thoughts. "I feel good. I feel great. I feel wonderful" won't deliver us to that state without an integrated approach. Anyone know which movie that's from? Bill Murray might be in it.
Because feeling is such a subtle space, its effective to use energetic practices like kriyas and pranayama help us change our feeling state and observe our experience with more detachment and awareness. We can't do anything effective if we're caught in the mess.
When negative biased thoughts and feelings arise, we change our state first. Then we investigate with clarity as to what is actually happening within us in a very impersonal way. We all experience all the emotions. It's just what happens here in these bodies. No ones alone, even though when we have the worst of feelings we think we’re the only ones ever to have it.
We create incredible clarity with words as to what is happening, we give it permission to be and move within our system.
We accept it fully.
Appreciate it fully. Gems are created under great pressure. See this.
Tune into the heart.
Locate gratefulness and actually feel it.
Let the energetic field of the body absorb the energy of the heart and lean into the wisdom that you know oh so well. This is so key here.
.. and it starts with shifting your energy.
With Love,
Andrew
