What’s My Purpose

We often hear this question today, either from within or without. “I want to find my purpose so I can get on my path, and then I can find happiness.” I think this is a fair summation around purpose today.

What if instead of finding our purpose we were more interested in being purposeful. I feel this shift is more grounded and consistent and doesn’t rely on a “home run” mentality of all or nothing. We have the opportunity to be purposeful in every moment. Being purposeful is not just expressing outward either, it’s also about helping our Self. What’s the best use of this moment? How can I best serve the need of the hour? Purposefulness leads us more into our present and stable selves.

We never need to find our path, we are the path. What did our soul come into this body to realize? Deep grounded truth and the nature of reality? When we discover ourself we discover our path, for they are inseparable.

Now, if we’ve unlocked purposefulness and have begun to discover our Self as an evolutionary process, not just an end game, we begin to have support in our internal environment. Good feelings. Trust. Ease. Full breaths. An ability to let go, because that which we are letting go of is of lesser value than that which is immediately available to us. Happiness is not something to find, rather bliss is who we are. The Yogis have been referencing this for thousands of years. Sat Chit Ananda. The True Presence of Consciousness is Bliss.

Bliss grows from peace and peace is held in Love. The easiest access to Love is gratitude, and gratitude can only be accessed within. It’s not a third party development. Stabilize the breath and the mind follows. The mind rests in the awareness of the heart as fluctuations stabilize

Be purposeful. Discover your stable present being-ness. Cultivate gratitude to be on the journey of evolution.

With Love,

Also, if you think that these emails are wise, it has almost nothing to do with me. Most of this wisdom comes from my teacher, Anand Mehrotra, and others.
