Intuition and Love
"Wisdom tells me I am nothing. Love tells me I am everything. And between the two my life flows" (Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj).
Wisdom and Love truly guide our lives.
When awareness and energy flows in the heart and our higher mind (the place within us that sees it all) life just flows in a nicer way. We can quickly learn lessons, easily release rhythms that are no longer helpful, and swiftly locate the ever presence of love in our life. If we are not in tune with the heart and the intuition, we learn in the confines of time, and time is too short for all of us. When the heart and mind tune in together, time takes on a new dimension and immediately becomes a great ally.
Yoga is an incredible way to develop our intuition and capacity for love, and we know that Yoga is not just a movement practice. It's a fully integrated practice that definitely includes movement, and postures, breath techniques, mantras, directions of focus, wisdom, ceremony, etc. Yoga is truly a blessing and one doesn't have to renounce life to become a devotee of yoga. She (Yoga) asks us to gently lean in and trust life. Grow, evolve, learn. Our life is our greatest teacher, and our heart and intuition help to see the blessings and lessons clearly.
One little game I've been playing lately is deep listening throughout my day. In this, let's say I'm driving, listening to tunes or a podcast or nothing, and I feel a little something within telling me to turn at this next turn... logical Andrew says, "well it's out of the way, and..." but I do it anyway. At this junction of moving with a deeper or different flow, I cultivate immense Trust. This is key. No second guessing! Fireworks of synchronicity might not go off from the decision, not to say they won't, but it's just a little game to start to strengthen the deeper pathways in the brain and heart.
We can do the same with other aspects: clothes to wear, food to eat, things to bring to work, etc.
Tune in, follow the flow, and Trust!
We can't go wrong anyway. Vasudeva Kutumbakum= the whole universe is our family. Life is our great ally. It's all good.
Jai Ma!
Andrew
