Dip Again and Again

I recently listened to a metaphor on the importance of consistently immersing in spiritually charged spaces.

In India there is an area in the northwest called Rajasthan. "Classic" Indian looking fabrics are probably coming from here.

In the process of making beautifully colored material they dip the fabric in the dye and then let it dry in the sun. Once its dry, they dip, dry, dip, dry... on and on like this. Its a process of kriya- each stage is an action that further deepens and stabilizes the change.

Similar to our lives, when we learn a lesson or a teaching we must integrate it into our world. Make it our own. Let the sun bake it into us. Give it a new dimension of reality from our own personal experience.

We need to absorb the new information (colorant) for as long as it takes and then make it our own. We don't want to get too soggy without allowing the energy to move in our own unique expression. Going out in the sun creates a resiliency to fade, it becomes a part of us.

The same can be said in the other direction. If we never dip we’re not being an active participant in our evolution, we will eventually have to swallow an almost unmanageable lesson. Life loves evolution.

I see dipping into rich environments as an absolutely key aspect of life. Being and beings thrive in energy rich environments.

It feels so good, our whole system knows the benefit when we treat ourselves to a day or weekend of focus and self-care, a retreat, or an immersion. It's natural and honest.

Treat yourself with this gift.

When we make the time to do this we learn to trust ourself even more. This reality is so phenomenally beautiful. We just have to wake up and see.

With Love,

Andrew
