Creation

My teacher, Anand, often talks about in order to locate the creator, we must first love the creation. He makes the metaphor if you’re at a restaurant and you say “this food is absolutely terrible, but I would like to see the chef.” When asked the chef will say, “no, thank you.”

By loving all of the creation we are consciously choosing to recognize the indivisibility of life. Not just this piece or that piece of creation, but alllll of it…. And no doubt about it, some forms, particular the ones that walk on 2 legs can be the most challenging.

Yogis, Seers, and Saints all speak of our innate desire to locate God/Spirit/Universal Consciousness and one of the most effective and efficient ways to do this is through the manifest reality.

When we develop gratefulness of heart, our mind becomes more clear and balanced. Restless thoughts fade into the background.

Look at your own experience, when you’re happy and enjoying the moment, saying doing something you love, the mind seems to be a bit more easy and thoughts are less troublesome. Your overall energy uplifts and the joyous hormones cascade in your system.

On the other hand when you THINK life is handing you the wrong lesson or you’re not getting what you want, mind becomes very busy and a more challenging place to rest. The heart and brain are intricately and deeply interconnected, like the root systems of a community of trees. When we “disconnect” from the heart the mind pays for it.

As I talk text/write this email, a big red tailed hawk just flew by my window. What a beautiful creation!

When we make the consistent choice to see the creative intelligence embedded in the innumerable forms of creation (things, circumstances, even thoughts) we naturally take the position of trust.

We recognize all of this is FOR us and happening THROUGH us. My life is exactly how I am. Your life is exactly how you are. Our consciousness state determines the success of our lives.

As we settle into our hearts and recognize that Spirit or God is not outside of the manifest reality but inherently embedded within, we recognize that this whole living reality is our ally.

Our greatest ally is our whole life.

During your practice/walk/contemplative moments today, try this mantra out. Life is my ally. Not just as a sentence, see if you can FEEL it. Breathe Light Slow and Deep. Use the breath and communicate it to your cells.

With Love,

Andrew

It’s one thing to think these thoughts, and a whole another thing to experience it. Yogis are not just philosophers but use practice and techniques to create and sustain this optimal experience.

It’s an integrated approach.

We use embodiment practices like breath work and asana to Create health in the body, devotional practices to Sustain trust and love in the heart, and wisdom practices and meditation to Shift and attune to our higher self. By plugging in and connecting with Source we get filled with everything we want and need.

Well be doing all of that here.
